This 1963 Cadillac Series 62 convertible was acquired by the family of the current owner approximately 41 years ago and is finished in white over red upholstery. Power comes from a replacement 390ci V8 paired with four-speed Hydramatic automatic transmission, and equipment includes a white convertible top, a Holley carburetor, power-assisted brakes and steering, electric windows, a power-adjustable front bench seat, and a push-button radio. Work since 2019 included flushing the transmission fluid along with replacement of the soft top, the carburetor, the exhaust system, the radiator and hoses, the water pump, and tune-up components. This Series 62 is offered on behalf of the current owner with removed factory parts, a spare wheel cover, partial service records, and a clean Idaho title.
Previously finished in red, the car was repainted in its current white and is equipped with quad headlights, chrome bumpers, bright trim along the full length of the car, rear fender skirts, and tail fins with integrated taillights. The white convertible top was replaced, and additional images showing the top in the raised and lowered position are included in the photo gallery below. The paint and weatherstripping show wear, and an indentation is noted in the rear bumper, along with corrosion on the left and right portions of the front bumper and the front fender jambs.
Steel wheels with bright-finished Cadillac wheel covers are mounted with Kingstar whitewall tires. Power-assisted brakes and steering were fitted to all Series 62 models.
The interior features button-tucked red upholstery with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include electric windows, a power-adjustable front bench seat, front and rear lap belts, an analog clock, and a push-button radio. A matching soft top boot cover aLompanies the car and shows a repaired tear. Wear is noted on the carpet, and the seller states the analog clock is currently non functioning and that the passenger-side sun visor frame needs replacement.
A two-spoke steering wheel fronts a column-shift lever and a 120-mph sweep speedometer aLompanied by coolant temperature and fuel level gauges. The five-digit odometer indicates 11k miles and is said to have rolled over at least once. True mileage is unknown.
The replacement 390ci V8 was sourced and reportedly rebuilt following a crack developing in the original engine approximately 21 years ago. Features include a Holley Quick Fuel carburetor and a chrome air cleaner. The exhaust system was replaced in 2019, and work in 2020 included replacing the carburetor, radiator and hoses, water pump, and tune-up components. The removed factory carburetor and air cleaner aLompany the car.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed Hydramatic automatic transmission. The transmission fluid was flushed in 2020.
