This 1949 Cadillac Series 62 Club Coupe is a modified example that was acquired by the seller in 2016. The car was repainted gloss black under current ownership, and bodywork carried out under previous ownership included lowering the roofline by 4″, slanting the B-pillars forward, and shaving the door handles. Satin-black Asanti Black Label 20″ wheels wear Vogue whitewall tires with gold stripes. Wilwood disc brakes with red calipers are fitted at all four corners.
The cabin features a custom dashboard along with replacement front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black leather with matching door panels and carpets. Equipment includes power-adjustable front seats, power windows, a center console with integrated cup holders, a Kenwood CD stereo, a Dakota Digital climate-control panel, and a Vintage Air air-conditioning system. The seller notes that seatbelts are not installed and that the passenger door lock requires adjustment.
The banjo-style steering wheel frames Boyds instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 25k miles.
The Chevrolet 350ci V8 was installed under prior ownership, and the seller applied a stroker kit that increased the displacement to 383ci. Additional modifications include Holley fuel injection, and the seller states that the oil and filter were changed in October 2020.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a GM 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. The chassis was sourced from a Chevrolet Caprice with front and rear suspension components from a C10 pickup.
