This 1954 Oldsmobile Super 88 two-door sedan is finished in blue and white over blue vinyl and patterned cloth and is powered by a 324ci Rocket V8 paired with a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. The car was purchased by the seller in September 2014 and subsequently refurbished with work including repairing rust and repainting the inside of the body, rebuilding the power steering and suspension systems, installing a four-barrel Rochester carburetor, and replacing the intake manifold, dual exhaust system, front disc brakes, and air conditioning system. Features consist of chrome brightwork, 15″ wheels with whitewall tires, and an Oldsmobile radio.
The car is finished in blue with a white top and features chrome brightwork on the grille, front and rear bumpers, side moldings, light surrounds, window surrounds, and side mirrors. Replacement badges and emblems have been fitted along with LED headlights, reverse lights, and electric windshield wiper motors.
The factory 15″ wheels wear hubcaps and are fitted with Coker Classic whitewall radial tires. The seller states the power steering system has been rebuilt using replacement hoses, and power brakes have been fitted with discs equipped up front. The suspension has reportedly been rebuilt with replacement springs, steering rods, bushings, and tie rods.
The front and rear bench seats were reupholstered in two-tone blue vinyl and patterned cloth and are complemented by retrimmed door panels, a blue dashboard, and matching carpets. An “Old Air Products” heating and air conditioning system has been installed, and additional features include lap belts, an analog clock, Oldsmobile-logo floor mats, and an Oldsmobile radio. The seller notes that the floorboards were replaced, and the metal surfaces were repainted.
The blue-rimmed steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for amperage, coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 72k miles.
The 324ci Rocket V8 is paired with a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. A four-barrel carburetor is reportedly fitted along with a replacement intake manifold, an electronic ignition system, an electric radiator fan, and a Sanden air conditioning compressor. The 30-amp generator has been replaced with a 100-amp alternator.
