This 1956 Ford Thunderbird has been refinished in white over a two-tone red and white interior, and its 312ci V8 is paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. The current owner acquired the car in 2012 and has since added approximately 1k miles.
The car has been refinished in white in favor of its factory-delivered Raven Black (A) and features a removable hardtop with porthole windows as well as rear fender skirts.
Steel 15″ wheels wear wire-style Ford hubcaps and are mounted with Coker Classic whitewall tires. A Continental kit is mounted at the rear.
The car received a red and white interior from the factory, and features include a two-tone bench seat, red floor mats, air conditioning, and a Thunderbird-branded AM/FM radio with an eight-track player. The dome light and the reverse lights are inoperable, and the power seat is noisy.
A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of instrumentation that includes a 150-mph speedometer, a 5k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and smaller auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows just under 74k miles.
The 312ci P-code V8 received a four-barrel carburetor from the factory, and an electronic ignition module has been installed. Work by Bay Service Automotive of Monterey, California in May 2021 included an inspection, an oil change, and replacement of the oil-pressure switch.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
