This 1959 Austin-Healey Bugeye Sprite was acquired by the seller in 2014 and was subsequently refurbished and modified. The two-spoke steering wheel frames a replacement GPS-enabled speedometer, a refurbished tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The digital odometer shows 184 miles.
The 1,275cc inline-four is said to have been sourced from a 1967 Austin-Healey and features dual SU carburetors. The seller states that the carburetors and cylinder head have been rebuilt, the radiator has been refurbished, and the following items have been replaced:
- Fuel pump
- Battery
- Voltage regulator and fuse block
- Ignition coil
- Starter solenoid
The seller states that the four-speed manual transmission was rebuilt during the refurbishment and that the clutch assembly, driveshaft U-joints, and gas tank were replaced at that time.
