This 1960 Ford F-250 4×4 was acquired by the previous owner in 2000, reportedly from the grandson of its original owner. The truck was subsequently refurbished including a repaint in mint green, fabrication of a flatbed with oak wood planks, and reconditioning of the 292ci V8, three-speed manual transmission, dual-range transfer case, and braking system. Additional equipment includes a heater, a receiver hitch, a Holley carburetor, Warn manually-locking front hubs, and 15″ steel wheels. Maintenance performed in preparation for the sale included changing the engine oil. This F-250 is now offered in Nevada with refurbishment photos, partial service records, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The body was repainted in Adriatic Green following metal work to the cab-corners and features a chrome front bumper and grille, body-colored mirrors, and Custom Cab badging on the doors. The flatbed was fabricated by the seller and features a black powder-coat finish, fenders, and white oak wood planks. Additional equipment includes a receiver hitch, a headache rack, and tie-down points. The seller notes blemishes on the hood including paint cracking, bubbling, and corrosion.
Black-painted steel wheels are mounted with 235/95 mud-terrain tires and the front axle is equipped with Warn manually-locking hubs. The seller reports that the braking system has been fitted with a replacement master cylinder, lines, and drums under current ownership.
The cabin features a bench seat upholstered in gray vinyl along with two-tone blue and white painted steel surfaces. Additional equipment includes a heater, lap belts, manual crank windows, and wind wings.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer flanked by a fuel level gauge and a temperature gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 90k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The 292ci V8 was rebuilt under current ownership and is fitted with a Holley carburetor along with hardened valve seats in order to run unleaded fuel. The fuel pump is said to have been fitted with new seals and the engine oil was changed in preparation for the sale.
Power is routed through a three-speed manual transmission which was reportedly serviced with replacement main, second, and reverse gears along with bearings and seals. Additional replacement components are said to include a clutch, pressure plate, throw-out bearing, clutch master cylinder, and lines. The dual-range transfer case was reportedly refurbished under current ownership including fitment of replacement bearings and seals.
