This 1964 Chevrolet Corvette coupe was modified over the course of a decade by its previous owner before being acquired by the selling dealer in 2019. Finished in red with orange flames over a black interior, the car is powered by a 502ci V8 crate engine equipped with a Holley Dominator carburetor and paired with a Turbo-Hydramatic three-speed automatic transmission and a Ford 9” rear end with a Detroit Locker differential. Additional features include MSD ignition, a five-link rear suspension, a roll bar, widened fenders, a hood scoop, and aftermarket bucket seats with multi-point harnesses. Recent maintenance has reportedly consisted of wiring repairs, a carburetor adjustment, and the installation of a replacement wiper motor and oil pan gasket.
Fiberglass bodywork is finished in red with orange painted flames and has been fitted with widened front and rear fenders as well as an aftermarket hood scoop. The front bumpers have been removed, while additional features include front fog lamps, flip-up headlights, six taillights, and chrome split rear bumpers.
Polished 15” Weld Racing wheels are wrapped in 235/50 BFGoodrich Traction T/A tires up front and 325/50 Mickey Thompson ET Street R semi-slick rubber out back. Stopping power is provided by Wilwood four-wheel discs, and the car is fitted with five-link rear suspension with adjustable coilovers. The selling dealer states that the parking brake is not installed.
The cabin features aftermarket bucket seats trimmed in black leather with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a roll bar, multi-point harnesses, a Sony CD stereo linked with Kaption Audio subwoofers mounted behind the seats, and vertically-mounted Painless Wiring rocker switches for vehicle functions in the center stack.
A leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of AutoMeter instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. Additional displays for transmission temperature and vacuum pressure are mounted below the head unit, and the five-digit odometer shows just over 9k miles, a handful of which have been added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown.
The 502ci V8 crate engine was installed during previous ownership and reportedly features Brodix cylinder heads, a Holley Dominator carburetor, and MSD ignition. The selling dealer states that forged pistons and H-beam connecting rods were also installed, and the engine has been plumbed for nitrous oxide injection. Additional equipment is said to include a roller valve train, an aluminum radiator with electric fans, electric water pump, custom headers, and a stainless-steel exhaust system with side-mounted dump pipes and Magnaflow mufflers. The oil pan gasket was replaced and the carburetor adjusted in March 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Turbo-Hydramatic three-speed automatic transmission and a Ford 9” rear end housing a Detroit Locker differential and Bear’s Performance axles.
