This 1966 Ford Mustang fastback was originally sold by Crenshaw Motors of Los Angeles, California and was acquired by the current owner in 2007. Finished in white over a black interior, the car is powered by a numbers-matching 289ci HiPo V8 paired with a Toploader four-speed manual transmission. Features include a 9″ rear axle, a Wilwood tandem brake master cylinder, Holley electronic fuel injection, PerTronix electronic ignition, an oil cooler, an aluminum radiator, power steering, air conditioning, a push-button FM radio, Traction Master bars, and 14″ Magnum 500 wheels.
Finished from the factory in Wimbledon White, the body was reportedly repainted in 1989 following the installation of a replacement driver-side quarter panel. Features include a side mirror for the driver, a power antenna, and chrome bumpers.
Chrome 14″ Magnum 500 wheels are mounted with 215/60 front and 245/60 rear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Factory equipment included power steering and front disc brakes, while modifications consist of a Wilwood tandem brake master cylinder and Traction Master bars fitted to the rear leaf springs.
The four-place cabin features seats trimmed in black vinyl, and matching upholstery extends to the carpeting and door panels. Interior equipment includes aftermarket air conditioning, a push-button FM radio, rubber Pony-branded floor mats, and lap belts for all occupants.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of a 140-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges while an aftermarket 8k-rpm tachometer has been fitted to the steering column. The five-digit odometer shows 79k miles
The 289ci HiPo V8 was reportedly overhauled in 2010 and is equipped with Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection, PerTronix electronic ignition, a Motorcraft distributor cap, a one-wire alternator, an oil cooler, and Cobra-branded valve covers. The radiator support has been modified to accommodate the larger aluminum radiator and the exhaust system has been fitted with cut-outs. The removed Holley carburetor will accompany the car.
Power is directed to the rear wheels through a Toploader four-speed manual transmission and a 9″ rear end with 3.50:1 gearing. A spare set of 3.89:1 gears will accompany the car.
The window sticker lists factory colors, equipment, and a total purchase price of $3467.63. The sale will also include purchase documents, owner’s manuals, service records, maintenance logs, and spare and removed parts.
