This 1967 Fiat 124 Spider was acquired by the seller as a partially-refurbished project in 2007 and was subsequently brought to completion over the following year. The car is finished in red over a black interior, and power comes from a 1,438cc inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a black soft top, a split chrome rear bumper, and 14″ Minilite-style wheels.
The car was repainted its current shade of red around 2007, and the seller notes prior repairs to the rocker panels and rear wheel arches. A replacement hood was reportedly installed following an engine fire around 1980. Finish flaws include imperfections in the soft top around the rear window, rust bubbling on the driver’s front fender and rear wheel arch, and rust on the base of the driver’s front window pillar chrome.
Minilite-style 14″ Performance wheels wear Uniroyal Tiger Paw Touring HR tires. Braking is handled by four wheel discs with red-finished calipers. The seller states that one tire shows cracking. Work carried out by the seller is said to have included replacement of the following components:
- Shocks
- Ball joints
- Suspension bushings
- Brake rotors and pads
- Steel brake lines and hoses
- Brake master cylinder
The cabin features black bucket seats with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Features include latch-and-link lap belts, under dash heater and fan controls, a lockable glovebox, and crank windows. The foot-powered window washer pump to the left of the clutch reportedly received a replacement bag, pump, and lines. Interior issues noted by the seller include a missing radio box and cigarette lighter, dash cracks, aged wood veneer, worn armrests, and trim flaws.
A two-spoke steering wheel with a cracked rim frames Veglia instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 59k miles.
The 1,438cc DOHC inline-four was reportedly overhauled by its previous owner, while the cylinder head was rebuilt during current ownership. Additional work carried out during current ownership is said to have included an overhauled radiator and replacement of the following components:
- Carburetor
- Exhaust manifold and muffler
- Starter
- Ignition coil
- Distributor cap, points, spark plugs and wires
- Alternator and regulator
- Fuel lines and fuel filter
- Hoses and gaskets
- Thermostat
- Battery and cables
- Under hood lights
- Horns
Power is transferred to the rear wheels through a torque tube and a five-speed manual transmission that was reportedly fitted with a replacement clutch under prior ownership.
