This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro was refurbished and modified around six years ago by the previous owner and was acquired by the seller in 2020. This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro was refurbished and modified around six years ago by the previous owner and was acquired by the seller in 2020. Finished in Hugger Orange with white stripes and a vinyl top, the car has been fitted with a Ridetech four-link rear suspension with adjustable coilovers, four-wheel disc brakes, and a fuel-injected 427ci GM V8 crate engine. Shifting is through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission, and additional equipment includes a Positraction rear end, Vintage Air A/C system, an aftermarket exhaust with electric cut outs, a RetroSound head unit, power-adjustable front seats, electric door poppers, power windows and locks, and 18” American Racing wheels.
The car was reportedly fitted with a replacement hood, doors, rocker panels, and front and rear fenders prior to a two-stage repaint in Hugger Orange with white over-the-top stripes by Arlington Auto Body of Arlington, Massachusetts. The inner fenders have been replaced with a Detroit Speed Mini-Tub kit and replacement bumpers and glass were also installed. Additional equipment includes a white vinyl top, front and rear lip spoilers, Detroit Speed electric headlight doors, Ring Brothers billet hood hinges, and Z/28 badging. Runs in the clear coat under the front edge of the hood are noted by the seller, along with a worn driver-side rubber door seal and scratches on the passenger-side rear window.
The 18” American Racing wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Rival S tires sized 245/40 up front and 335/30 out back. Braking is through SSBC-USA four-wheel discs, and suspension and steering modifications reportedly include the following:
- Steeroids power-assisted rack and pinion steering
- Speedtech tubular upper and lower front control arms
- Four-wheel adjustable coilovers
- RideTech four-link rear suspension with adjustable control arms
- RideTech rear sway bar
The cabin features power-adjustable front bucket seats that were sourced from a 2010 Camaro and reupholstered in black vinyl with houndstooth inserts. Additional amenities include electric door poppers, a TMI center console with dual cupholders, a Vintage Air A/C system, power windows and door locks, and a RetroSound head unit with Bluetooth connectivity wired to JL Audio speakers in the cabin as well as twin Alpine subwoofers and three amplifiers enclosed in a plexiglass box in the trunk. Air bubbles in the sail panels are noted by the seller, along with a blemish on the passenger-side carpet.
A three-spoke steering wheel is mounted to a tilt steering column and frames instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and a 7k-rpm tachometer. Auxiliary instrumentation is found in the center console, and the five-digit odometer shows just over 5k miles, though total mileage is unknown.
The 427ci GM ZZ427 V8 crate engine was installed during previous ownership and features MSD ignition and fuel injection, along with an American Auto wiring harness, a Be Cool radiator, and a March Performance Revolver serpentine belt system. Ceramic-coated headers feed a 3″ stainless-steel exhaust system that is equipped with remote-operated cutouts exiting in front of the rear wheels.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter and a Moser 12-bolt rear axle housing a Positraction differential with 3.73:1 gearing. The frame is said to have been powder coated and undercoating applied to the chassis.
