This 1969 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is said to have been delivered new to Gadberry Chevrolet of Cerro Gordo, Illinois, and it has remained in the central part of the state since. The car is finished in blue over black vinyl upholstery and is equipped with a black soft top, four-wheel disc brakes, a limited-slip differential, and a replacement exhaust system with stainless-steel mufflers. Power is provided by a 350ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission, and service under current ownership reportedly included rebuilding the carburetor, performing a tune-up, repairing the vacuum system, changing the fluids and filters, and replacing the battery, tires, and soft top.
The front end of the car is said to have been damaged and repaired prior to a repaint of the entire vehicle in its factory color of LeMans Blue circa 1999. Exterior features include four-slot fender vents, a vacuum-operated windshield-wiper door and pop-up headlights, and a soft top that was replaced in 2018.
The car is pictured with 15″ Rally wheels wearing P02 covers on the left and chrome trim rings and center caps on the right, with a full set each of the PO2 covers and the trim rings/center caps included in the sale. All four tires are BFGoodrich Silvertown Redlines showing 2019 date codes. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs, and the left rear caliper was replaced in 2015.
The bucket seats are trimmed in black vinyl (ZQ4) with a matching dash pad, door panels, and carpeting with black rubber floor mats. Features include head restraints and a push-button AM/FM radio.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer with auxiliary gauges located in the center stack. The five-digit odometer indicates 73k miles.
The 350ci L46 V8 came equipped with a single Rochester four-barrel carburetor and was rated at 350 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque when new. Service in January 2021 reportedly included rebuilding the carburetor, performing a tune-up, replacing the battery, and changing the fluids and filters.
The dual exhaust system is a 2017 replacement that features stainless-steel mufflers and aluminized-steel pipes from the manifolds back. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
