Originally Cortez Silver (69), the car was refinished in blue under previous ownership. Silver stripes adorn the sides and hood, and additional features include chrome trim and bumpers, a blacked-out grille, SS 396 badging, and dual exhaust outlets. The right-front fender was reportedly replaced under previous ownership, and the seller notes chipping paint, hazy chrome and glass, and inconsistent panel fit.
Chrome 15″ wheels are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Rust is noted on the wheels.
The interior features black vinyl bench seats and door panels. Equipment includes a heater/defroster, a push-button AM radio, an aftermarket CD player mounted below the dashboard, and Kicker speakers fitted in the trunk. The shift linkage was lubricated in 2020, and the seller notes loose wires under the dash, a hole in the back of the glove box, a detached rear window crank, and aged interior weather stripping.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, and an aftermarket tachometer mounted on the steering column. Aftermarket auxiliary gauges are centrally mounted beneath the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 87k miles.
The 402ci V8 is equipped with an MSD ignition. A replacement fan clutch and a seven-blade fan were reportedly installed in 2019. Service in April 2021 included changing the oil and lubricating the chassis.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The seller states that the transmission fluid was changed in April 2021 and that the clutch was replaced in June.
