This 1971 Land Rover 88 is a left-hand-drive Series IIA model that is finished in green over a black interior. Power is supplied by a diesel 2.25-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive and a dual-range transfer case. Other equipment includes a tan replacement soft top, a two-tone green and white removable hardtop, white 16″ steel wheels, a hood-mounted spare tire, diamond-plate trim, and gray carpeting. Work since 2019 has included replacement of the starter, the clutch cylinders, and the fuel tank. The seller acquired the truck in July 2019.
The truck is finished in green and features a replacement tan canvas soft top and a black dropdown tailgate; an accompanying two-tone green and white removable hardtop and a body-color full rear door. Additional equipment includes diamond-plate trim on the fender tops and the rocker panels, a fold-down windshield, fender-mounted side mirrors, taillight guards, and Land Rover–branded rear mud flaps. The driver-side taillight was replaced in June 2020. Noted blemishes include scratches and paint chips, and corrosion is present on the inside of the door frames.
White-painted 16″ steel wheels wear Lassa tires, and a spare is mounted on the hood. Braking is handled by drums at each corner.
Three individual front seats are trimmed in black. Gray front carpeting is protected by black rubber mats, and the doors have sliding windows.
A black three-spoke steering wheel fronts a black-finished steel dash that houses instrumentation consisting of an 80-mph speedometer and gauges measuring coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer indicates 98k miles.
The rear compartment features troop-style seating, diamond-plate flooring, and a fire extinguisher.
A diesel 2.25-liter inline-four sends power to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive and a two-speed transfer case. Work since 2019 has been handled by The Shop of Norcross, Georgia and has included replacement of the starter, the fuel tank, and the clutch master and slave cylinders.
