This 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer was acquired by the seller in November 2013 and subsequently refurbished, with work including a color change to Hugger Orange and a refresh of the interior in Parchment vinyl. The truck is powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes a white removable hardtop, a lifted suspension, dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, and an upgraded audio system. Other work completed under current ownership is said to have included an engine rebuild, overhauling the brakes, and replacing the clutch, wiring harness, body mounts, and fuel tank.
Originally finished in Ochre, the truck was refinished in Hugger Orange in 2018, at which time rust was repaired and a replacement hood, tailgate, rocker panels, front glass, window felts, and weatherstripping was installed. Exterior equipment includes a removable white hardtop and a replacement grille, woodgrain trim, chrome bumpers, door handles, mirrors, and badges. Chips and scratches are noted in the finish.
Steel 15″ Rally-style wheels wear polished beauty rings and 35×12.5″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires. The truck is equipped with a 4″ suspension lift, a dual-shock steering stabilizer, and tow hooks, and work performed by the seller reportedly included replacing the fuel tank, body mounts, shocks, brake power booster, brake master cylinder, and the Warn manually locking front wheel hubs.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in replacement Parchment vinyl with black door panels and replacement carpets. Bedliner is present below the carpeting, the front seat foam has been replaced, and hydraulic struts have been added to the rear hatch. The center console features integrated cup holders and houses an aftermarket stereo linked to replacement door speakers, as well as rear-mounted speakers that are installed in moveable jerrycans. An AM radio is retained in the factory location and is connected to a dash-mounted speaker. CST badging has also been added to the dash.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. Work performed by the seller is said to have included adding a heater controller and replacing the wiring harness, fuse box, wiper motor, and heater motor. The five-digit odometer shows 53k miles, 500 of which were added by the seller. True mileage is unknown.
The 350ci V8 was reportedly rebuilt under current ownership and features aluminum valve covers and a chrome air cleaner assembly. The alternator was recently replaced, and fluid changes were performed in preparation for the sale. A Flowmaster exhaust system is fitted.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The rear axle features 3.73:1 gearing, and the clutch was replaced under current ownership.
