This 1973 Buick Century Gran Sport was delivered new to North Side Buick Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was acquired by the seller in 2017, reportedly from the second owner. Finished in green with a black vinyl roof over a white interior, the car is powered by a 455ci V8 equipped with a single four-barrel carburetor and paired with a Turbo-Hydramatic three-speed automatic transmission and a Positraction differential. The car came finished from the factory in Jade Green with a black vinyl top and was reportedly repainted approximately two decades ago. Features include “455” fender badging, side moldings, body-colored remote-controlled side-view mirrors, and chrome bumpers.
The 14” Magnum 500-style wheels are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires that are sized 225/70 and were reportedly installed in April 2021. Braking is through power-assisted front discs with rear drums, and a full-size spare is found in the trunk.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in white vinyl along with matching door panels and a black dashboard and carpets. Faux woodgrain trim aLents the optional full-length center console, and amenities include air conditioning, an AM/FM cassette stereo, and power windows. The analog clock is inoperable, though the seller notes that a replacement unit is included in the sale.
A two-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a combination gauge for coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 72k miles, around 750 of which have been added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 455ci V8 is topped with a four-barrel carburetor and sends power to the rear wheels through a Turbo-Hydramatic 400 three-speed automatic transmission and a Positraction differential. The seller notes that an oil change was performed in April 2021.
The window sticker shows initial delivery to North Side Buick Company and lists the factory colors and options, along with a total MSRP of $5,267.45.
