This 1973 Ford Bronco is said to have been sold new in New Mexico, moved to Texas in the mid-1980s, and relocated to Colorado in 2012. Subsequent refurbishment work in 2014 and 2015 included removing the body from the frame, performing rust repair, refinishing the interior floors and chassis, overhauling the suspension and brakes, and installing a fuel-injected 5.0-liter V8 along with a four-speed 4R70W automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The truck is finished in green over green and features a white hardtop, 15″ wheels with hubcaps, 31″ tires, a 2.5″ suspension lift, a 2″ body lift, four-wheel disc brakes, Vintage Air climate control, and an AM radio.
The truck is finished in Limestone Green (U) and features a white removable hardtop, lower-body aLents, and hood aLents. The paintwork and exterior trim are shown up close in the photo gallery below, and dents, cracking, and other signs of wear are noted by the seller. Rust was repaired in the front inner fenders, and the engine compartment was refinished during the refurbishment work under previous ownership.
White powder-coated 15″ steel wheels wear Ford hubcaps and are mounted with 31×10.5″ Toyo Open Country A/T tires. Equipment includes power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, a Wild Horses 2.5″ suspension lift, and a 2″ body lift. The body was removed from the frame in 2014, at which point the chassis was refinished and overhauled.
The interior features Ranger trim including Avocado upholstery with houndstooth inserts on the front bucket seats and rear bench. The interior was removed and reinstalled when the truck was overhauled, at which point the floors were coated with LizardSkin sound insulation and textured ceramic coating. A Vintage Air climate-control system was retrofitted to work with the period under-dash vents, and a replacement wiring harness was installed with a fuse block inside the glove box. Tears in the upholstery seams and other spots of wear are noted.
A two-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of instrumentation including a replacement 100-mph speedometer with inset auxiliary gauges. The odometer shows 99k miles. The removed speedometer will aLompany the truck, and true mileage is unknown.
The fuel-injected 5.0-liter V8 was reportedly sourced from a 1990 Mustang and was installed with an aftermarket engine wiring kit. A 23-gallon fuel tank has been installed along with an aluminum radiator, an electric cooling fan, and ceramic-coated exhaust headers.
Power is delivered to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed 4R70W transmission and a dual-range Dana transfer case. The transmission is said to have been rebuilt and installed with an MSD transmission control module, and the driveshafts have been replaced.
