This 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 is finished in Amaranto Rosso over a black interior and powered by a 2.0L twin-cam inline-four fitted with dual Weber carburetors and paired with a five-speed manual transmission. It was acquired by the seller in August 2013, and work has since included replacing the clutch, refreshing the brakes and suspension, and installing a Magnaflow stainless steel exhaust system. Additional equipment includes amber-tinted fog lamps, 15” Panasport-style wheels, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM push-button stereo.
The car was delivered from the factory in Gialla Orca and was refinished in its current shade of Amaranto Rosso by Bill Gillham while under previous ownership. Equipment includes stainless steel bumpers with overriders, amber-tinted fog lamps, C-pillar badges, and pop-out rear quarter windows.
Panasport-style 15″ wheels are wrapped with 185/65 Falken Ziex ZE612 tires that were mounted in 2014. Suspension modifications include KYB shocks, Rogue Engineering springs, and polyurethane trunnion bushings and washers. The tie rod ends and front brake pads were replaced in 2017 and the front brake calipers were also rebuilt at that time. The rear brake rotors and wheel bearings were replaced in 2013.
The interior was reportedly refreshed during previous ownership with reupholstered black vinyl seats and a replacement headliner, dash pad, and door panels. Amenities include a Blaupunkt AM/FM push-button radio, a locking glove compartment, and wood trim on the dash and center console. The battery is housed in the trunk, and the seller notes a crack in the dashboard.
A wood-rimmed Personal steering wheel fronts Jaeger instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 19k miles.
The 2.0L twin-cam inline-four has been fitted with dual Weber 40DCOE 27 carburetors, a programmable electronic distributor, and a Euro-style intake manifold. The five-speed manual transmission was fitted with a replacement clutch in 2013. The fuel lines were replaced in 2017, while an oil change was performed in January 2021. Components from the removed SPICA fuel injection system are included in the sale.
A Magnaflow stainless steel exhaust system was installed in 2018.
