This 1975 Porsche 914 is finished in Nepal Orange and was purchased by the seller in 1990, reportedly from the first owner. Refurbishment work completed in 2021 included refreshing the black interior with orange-plaid seat inserts, rebuilding the flat-four to displace 1,911L, inspecting and resealing the five-speed manual transaxle, overhauling the brake system, and refinishing the targa top, rocker panels, and valances. Other features include a lightweight flywheel, a PerTronix electronic ignition conversion, an aftermarket camshaft, a replacement exhaust system, disc brakes, and 15″ ATS alloy wheels.
The car was delivered new in Nepal Orange (E5), and the seller states that the rear deck lid and passenger-side quarter panel have been refinished to correct blemishes. The removable targa roof panel, rocker panels, and front and rear valances were refinished in black in 2020.
Black 15×6″ ATS alloy wheels are said to have been mounted with 205/60 BFGoodrich Advantage T/A tires in December 2020. The brake hoses and front brake pads were replaced and the system was flushed during the refurbishment work in preparation for the sale. Four removed Pedrini wheels will aLompany the car.
The four-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a 7k-rpm tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, and a combination gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 7k miles and is said to have rolled over. Approximately 12k miles were added by the seller over the previous three decades, and true mileage is unknown.
The flat-four was rebuilt in 2021 with larger pistons and cylinders to displace 1,911L with a compression ratio of 8.4:1. Other equipment installed during the rebuild is said to include a performance camshaft and lifters, a high-volume oil pump, a PerTronix electronic ignition module, a replacement fuel pump and filter, and a lightweight flywheel. The EGR system has been removed, and an Odyssey battery and Rennline battery mount have been installed along with a replacement battery tray. Approximately 600 miles are said to have been added since the rebuild, and the seller states that an oil change and post-rebuild service were performed approximately 500 miles after the rebuild.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle with a dogleg shift pattern. The gearbox was disassembled, inspected, and reassembled with new seals during the refurbishment completed in 2021.
The Porsche Production Specifications certificate lists original colors, factory options, and a production completion date of June 1975.
A set of removed Pedrini wheels will aLompany the car along with a period 914 brochure.
