This 1977 Ford Bronco is a modified example that was recently acquired by the current owner in California. The truck is finished in black over black upholstery, and power is provided by a 302ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case. Equipment includes a black soft top, a roll cage, fender flares, 15″ Mickey Thompson wheels, a suspension lift, an Edelbrock carburetor, and custom exhaust system. Service performed in 2019 consisted of rebuilding the transfer case along with replacing the driveshafts, axle bearings, rear brakes, and ball joints.
The truck features a color-keyed grille and bumpers and was reportedly painted in its current black under previous ownership after cutting the rear fenders and adding flares. The chrome trim was also refinished in black, and a matching soft top with removable side and rear sections was also added.
Mickey Thompson 15″ wheels are wrapped in BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires sized 33×12.50″. The suspension was modified with Wild Horses shocks and springs along with a steering stabilizer, and braking is handled by front discs and rear drums. Work in September 2019 included replacing the rear wheel cylinders, the upper and lower ball joints, and the axle bearings.
Replacement black upholstery covers low-back bucket front seats and a rear bench, and the interior of the tub is lined with matching carpets. A roll cage has also been added, and the aftermarket Pioneer head unit is inoperable.
A two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 100-mph speedometer surrounded by auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 69k miles, with total mileage unknown.
The 302ci V8 features a single Edelbrock carburetor and an aluminum radiator. The seller notes the radiator was damaged by the hood latch and subsequently repaired, and the front fuel filler is inoperable.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed C4 automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case that was rebuilt in September 2019. The front and rear driveshafts were also replaced at that time, and the differential lubricant was changed. An aftermarket exhaust system with a catalytic converter is fitted.
