This 1978 Lincoln Mark V was first sold by Bob Maxey Lincoln-Mercury in Detroit, Michigan, and was recently acquired by the seller following time spent in Missouri and Washington State. Turbine-style 15″ wheels are mounted with 235/75 Firestone Supreme Si dual whiteline tires, and a full-size spare equipped with a matching tire is stored in the trunk. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.
The cabin features power-adjustable front lounge seats trimmed in Cordovan velour with matching interior trim and carpets. Per the included Deluxe Marti report, this car is one of 619 examples delivered new with these paint/trim codes. Factory amenities include cruise control, a Quadrasonic AM/FM/8-track stereo, a CB radio, and power windows and locks.
A two-spoke multifunction steering wheel fronts an 80-mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, and a “miles-to-empty” fuel indicator. The five-digit odometer shows just under 19k miles.
The A-code 460ci V8 came equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 210 horsepower and 357 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a C6 three-speed automatic transmission and a Traction-Lok rear axle equipped with 2.50:1 gearing. A general inspection was conducted in preparation for the sale.
