This 1981 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 coupe is finished in red over silver vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a cowl-induction hood, a stereo with an eight-track player, air conditioning, removable glass t-top panels, F41 performance suspension, front and rear spoilers, and power locks and windows. The car was first delivered to Bob Cheesman Chevrolet-Olds of Spring Valley, Illinois, and is said to have been stored by the original owner from 1984 until it was acquired by the seller in April 2021.
The body is finished in red with an integrated decklid spoiler, a front spoiler, a cowl-induction hood, flared wheel arches, Z28 side decals, and removable glass t-top panels. Corrosion and areas of missing paint along with scratches and nicks on various panels are noted by the seller.
Red-painted 15″ wheels with bright center caps and lips are mounted with 225/70 Uniroyal Steel Belted Radial tires. The tires have visible cracking in the sidewalls, and corrosion can be seen on the spokes of the wheels. The seller states the brake fluid was flushed in preparation for the sale, and the car is equipped with the F41 performance suspension.
The cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in silver vinyl with black piping. Features include air conditioning, a factory stereo with an eight-track player, and power windows and door locks. A set of black rubber floor mats will accompany the car.
The four-spoke steering wheel is mounted on a tilting column and frames an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows just over 18k miles.
The 350ci LM1 V8 was rated at 175 horsepower when new and is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor. Corrosion is visible on the radiator core support, brake booster, air cleaner cover, and hood springs. The seller states the battery was replaced in May 2021, and a coolant flush and oil change were performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
