This 1984 Dodge Shelby Charger is finished in two-tone blue and silver over a matching interior and is powered by a 2.2-liter inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes Shelby badging, 15″ cast aluminum wheels, air conditioning, and a CB radio in addition to model-specific revised aerodynamics and suspension components. Work performed in 2021 reportedly included a tune-up, servicing the fuel system, repairing the exhaust, and replacing the spark plugs, tires, and air filter. This Shelby Charger is now offered at no reserve by the selling dealer with a Missouri title.
Compared to the standard Charger, the Shelby model featured a revised front air dam and bodyside ground effects. This example is finished in blue with silver aLents, and additional exterior features include hood pins, Shelby side graphics, rear window louvers, and a decklid spoiler. The left driving light lens is missing.
Factory 15×6″ cast aluminum wheels were included as part of the Shelby package, as were shorter springs, upgraded front disc and rear drum brakes, and a quicker steering rack. Replacement Hankook tires were reportedly mounted in February 2021.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in gray vinyl with blue cloth seating surfaces as well as matching two-tone door panels and blue carpets. The front headrests are embroidered with the Carroll Shelby logo. Air conditioning was included from the factory, and an aftermarket CB radio is installed in the center stack. The headliner is sagging.
The blue dashboard features a Charger badge on the passenger side and houses an AM/FM stereo. The blue steering wheel features a serialized Shelby Automotive badge and frames a 7k-rpm tachometer, an 85-mph speedometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows just under 31k miles.
The naturally aspirated 2.2L inline-four produced 110 horsepower when new thanks to a revised camshaft and a 9.6:1 compression ratio. Work performed in February 2021 is said to have included a tune-up, cleaning the fuel system, repairing the exhaust, and replacing the spark plugs and engine air filter.
Power is sent to the front wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox.
