This 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SEL is finished in Black Pearl Metallic over Palomino leather, and power is provided by a 5.5-liter M117 V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Features include electrically-adjustable and heated front and rear seats as well as a power sunroof, automatic climate control, and a Becker Grand Prix stereo. The car was recently acquired by the seller from the spouse of its reported original owner, and work performed in preparation for the sale is said to have consisted of performing a paint correction and ceramic coating, refinishing the 15″ alloy wheels, multiple fluid changes, and replacement of the rear brake pads and ignition components.
The body is finished in Black Pearl Metallic (199) and contrasted by gray lower cladding. A three-step paint correction was performed and a ceramic coating was applied to the exterior in preparation for the sale.
Factory 15″ alloy wheels were refinished by Extreme Wheel Repair in Edison, New Jersey, and they are mounted with a set of Firestone tires. A spare mounted with a Continental tire is stored in the trunk.
The cabin features heated and power-adjustable front and rear seats trimmed in Palomino leather upholstery, while burl wood trim accents the dashboard, door panels, and center console. Features include a power sunroof, automatic climate control, a Becker Grand Prix stereo, and rear footrests.
The airbag-equipped steering wheel frames a 170-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an integrated clock, along with gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and fuel economy. The six-digit odometer indicates just under 65k miles.
The 5.5-liter M117 V8 sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. Maintenance performed in preparation for the sale is said to include changing the oil, flushing the coolant and brake systems, performing a transmission service, and replacement of the air and fuel filters as well as the rear brake pads and ignition components.
Manufacturer’s literature, a data card, service manuals, and a personalized leather pouch are included in the sale.
