This 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL was first delivered to Euro Motorcars Bethesda in Maryland and was acquired by the selling dealer in March 2021 from the reported original owner. The car is finished in silver over tan leather and is powered by a 5.5-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a body-colored removable hardtop, dark brown convertible top, 15″ Gullideckel wheels, fog lights, automatic climate control, cruise control, burl wood trim, and a Becker AM/FM stereo. Service performed in preparation for sale consisted of replacing the fuel pump and filter, spark plugs, lower ball joints, and tires along with a four-wheel alignment.
The body is finished in Smoke Silver Metallic (702) and features a body-colored removable hardtop with a heated rear window as well as a dark brown soft top. Additional exterior features include fog lights, chrome-accented bumpers, a power antenna, and side moldings.
Silver 15” Gullideckel alloy wheels are wrapped with 205/65 Continental tires that were installed in preparation for sale. A full-size spare and a tool roll are housed in the trunk, and braking is handled by four-wheel anti-lock discs. The lower ball joints are said to have been replaced in April 2021, and a four-wheel alignment was performed.
The cabin features Palomino leather upholstery along with matching carpets and door panels joined by wood trim on the dashboard and center console. Equipment includes automatic climate control, cruise control, and a Becker AM/FM stereo. The driver’s seat bolster shows wear.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 170-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows just under 10k miles.
The fuel-injected 5.5-liter V8 was factory rated at 227 horsepower and 279 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was completed in preparation for sale as well as replacement of the fuel filter, fuel pump, spark plugs, and battery.
Power is transferred to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Euro Motorcars Bethesda in Maryland as well as factory colors, options, and a total price of $56,600.
