This 1992 Mercedes-Benz 500E was purchased new by the seller’s father and now shows 67k miles. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 67k miles, all of which were added during current ownership.
The 5.0-liter M119 V8 was factory rated at 322 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. An oil change was performed in February 2021. The seller states that the ASR warning light will illuminate and the car will go into limp mode intermittently in cold weather, and that restarting the car will clear that condition.
Manufacturer’s literature, the removed Becker stereo, the original bill of sale, a service booklet stamped through 1994 when the car showed 15k miles, and additional service records dating back to 2008 are included in the sale.
