This 2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt is one of approximately 5,800 examples built to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the film, and it was purchased new by the seller in New Jersey in March 2008. The car is finished in Dark Highland Green over black leather and is powered by a 4.6-liter V8 paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car is finished in Dark Highland Green, and Bullitt-edition cars feature a black mesh front grille, removed badging and rear spoiler, and a Bullitt faux fuel filler on the tail panel. Modifications consist of a magnetic blackout tail panel, body-color quarter window louvers and mirror caps, sequential taillights, and aftermarket window tint. The Carfax report shows an accident with another motor vehicle in April 2012. The seller states the car was rear-ended and the rear bumper cover was replaced and repainted at that time.
Argent Gray 18″ Euroflange wheels wear 235/50 BFGoodrich g-Force T/A tires showing 2008 date codes. The car is fitted with a 7/8″ rear wheel spacer kit, and installed suspension components reportedly include Ford Racing springs, a BMR panhard bar, and BMR upper and lower control arms. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes at all four corners.
The cabin features black leather seating surfaces with perforated inserts along with engine-turned dashboard trim. Appointments include a power-adjustable driver seat, air conditioning, power windows and locks, and an infotainment system with navigation and a CD player.
The leather-wrapped steering wheels features a Bullitt horn button and frames a 145-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 13k miles.
The 4.6-liter V8 features a Ford Racing air intake and improved engine calibration in Bullitt-specification, and it was factory rated at 315 horsepower and and 325 lb-ft of torque. A serialized Bullitt ID plate affixed to the strut tower brace indicates this car is #2,966 of approximately 5,800 examples produced for the model year. The oil was last changed in the fall of 2019.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
