This 2008 Honda S2000 is one of approximately 700 Club Racer examples produced for the US market for the 2008 and 2009 model years and is finished in Berlina Black over a two-tone black and yellow interior. Power is provided by a 2.2-liter inline-four paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. CR-specific equipment includes aerodynamic bodywork, quicker steering, additional chassis bracing, and revised suspension components. Additional equipment includes a removable hard top, a factory stereo, and air conditioning. The car spent time in North Carolina, West Virginia, Washington State, and Florida before it was acquired by the seller in November 2020.
The CR models received aerodynamic bodywork that included a redesigned front lip, a rear wing, and a removable hardtop in place of the standard soft top. This example is finished in Berlina Black and features black CR badging, clear side markers, and body-colored roll-bar cowlings.
Factory 17″ wheels are wrapped in 215/45 front and 255/40 rear Continental ExtremeContact tires showing 2018 and 2019 date codes. CR models feature additional chassis bracing, a quicker steering ratio, higher-rate springs, and stiffer anti-roll bars compared to the contemporary S2000. Records show the brake fluid was flushed in 2019.
The cockpit features seats upholstered in black Alcantara with yellow patterned inserts and matching yellow stitching that extends to the steering wheel, shift boot, and door panels. This example is equipped with air conditioning and a factory CD stereo in addition to cruise control, an aluminum shift knob and pedals, and S2000-branded floor mats.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential.The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a sweeping tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline, a digital speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer shows 57k miles.
The 2.2-liter F22C1 inline-four features VTEC variable-valve timing and was factory-rated at 237 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque when new. The seller notes installation of a K&N air filter, and the oil was last changed in February 2020.
